EBT CARDS
Today, more than ever, many families are really struggling. Lost homes, unemployment, etc. You still need to feed your family. We now have EBT (Food Stamps) capabilities.
The High Desert Farmers Market is the first market in San Bernardino County to accept SNAP (formerly food stamps) via EBT. That includes both markets. Big Bear Farmers Market will be accepting them during its season April Thru October (that means all of October, for those of you that always think the market ends Sept.) We will also be accepting the new WIC coupons May 2010, when the state launches its new program.
Just bring your EBT card to our information booth and we can swipe your card in exchange for Farmer's Market money (scrip) to spend on groceries at both of our markets.)
To see if you and your family qualify for the SNAP program call 800.221.5689.
