Retail Vendor Requirements

1. All potential vendors must have prior approval from the market manager.

2. Contact Kerri Santoro, at 760-247-3769 prior to initial set-up at the market. Mailing address is P.O. Box 3585, Apple Valley, CA 92307.

3. The market’s hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. till 12:00 noon, every Thursday, year round. All vendors must be vacated no later than 1:30 p.m.

4. All retail vendors are required, by law, to operate with a resale number. If you do not have one you must contact the Board of Equalization at (951) 680-6400 or E-mail: www. boe.ca.gov to apply. If you already have one you must add the address of the High Desert Farmers' Market to the sale location. The market location is 18422 Bear Valley Rd., Victorville, CA 92392. Each vendor is responsible for their own sales taxes

5. Vendors are to be in their assigned spaces no later than 7:30 a.m. Late arrivals will not be admitted. Once barriers are closed, no one, except management, is allowed to move them

6 Space fee up to 10' is $30 per day; additional space up to every 10 feet, for the same vendor space is an additional $15 (e.i. if one vendor needs 20' the cost is $45). If you wish to have a vehicle on site with you, you must purchase the second space. Space sharing is prohibited. Each vendor is to pay the Thursday prior to the following Thursday. Everyone will be given an envelope with the date of participation and a space number on the envelope. It is the vendors responsibility to make certain management receives the enclosed envelope with the correct fee amount owed inside and printed name and phone number on the outside. Receipts will be written out and returned to the payee the same market day. For new and returning vendors spaces may also be reserved by visiting the market the week prior to participating at the market. Phone reservation maybe accepted by mailing fees two weeks in advance. Fees are non-refundable for any reason.

7. Allowable items to be sold are to be home spun, unique and hard to find gifts. Items not found in stores. No duplications. Must be new & undamaged goods. No yard sale items.

Some examples would be:

Hand made arts and crafts.

Collectibles: items that are numbered and registered, trade marked etc. true collectibles (items of real value)

Specialty items: cannot be hand made, copied or not found in the stores.

Health Products: Offered by Independent Distributors and no gimmicks. These vendors are limited to the number allowed at the market.

NO JUNK! If it looks used leave it at home. no yard sale, garage sale swap meet junk.

No business' such as real estate, cell phone, computer companies etc.

Imports.

Antiques & Retro: These must be true antiques. Those that are found from a certain era, not old to you. Aromatics: Incense, soaps, lotions and oils mixed or made by the seller.

8. All items are allowed or disallowed at management's discretion for any reason at any time. All items are to be previously approved by management before introducing it to the market.

9. Each vendor is to supply their own set up. Canopies and umbrellas must be securely tied down at all times. HANGING WEIGHTS ARE NOT PERMITTED!! Sand bags are suggested and the weight must be a min. of 100 lbs (25 lbs at each corner) . Displays are to be attractive and eye catching. No merchandise is to be on the ground, unless it is too large to be secure on a table or display wall. Management is not responsible for damage caused by your negligence. Spaces are to be kept clean and orderly at all times. Appearance effects the entire market and its success.

10. Management is not responsible for sales or lack there of. Flyers and/or business cards are encouraged to promote personal sales outside the market.

By being present you agree to all rules, laws, regulations and agreements set forth by the High Desert Farmers' Market in its entirety. It is vendors responsibility to know what those rules and regulations are.
